Staff Nurse

Staff Nurse - Minor Procedures and Dressing Clinic

Permanent 32 hours per week

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements at a minimum:

• Registered general nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Minimum two years’ post-registration clinical experience.
• Experience in minor procedures, perioperative nursing or wound care (desirable).
• Wound management qualification or willingness to undertake relevant education.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care in accordance with NMBI professional standards.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide peri-procedural nursing care.
• Assess, manage and evaluate acute, chronic and post-operative wound care and education.
• Promote continuity of care through coordinated follow-up and liaison with the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in service development, audit, quality improvement and continuing professional development.
• Work in accordance with Bon Secours Health system policies and procedures, HIQA national standards and JCI Accreditation standards
