Staff Backend / Identity Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Staff Backend / Identity Engineer focused on building secure multi-tenant authentication systems and AI action execution infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing and developing the core backend architecture that securely manages OAuth integrations, token lifecycles, API execution middleware, and validation systems for AI-generated actions. The role involves working on distributed backend systems, security-focused infrastructure, API integrations, and scalable execution pipelines that power enterprise AI workflows. You will collaborate closely with AI engineers and frontend teams to build secure, observable, and production-ready orchestration systems. Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure OAuth 2.0 authentication systems Build multi-tenant token management infrastructure Develop secure action execution middleware Implement token refresh and rotation workflows Create validation pipelines for AI-generated payloads Prevent malformed or hallucinated API actions Build observability, audit logging, and retry systems Integrate enterprise APIs such as Google and Microsoft Graph Maintain high availability and backend reliability standards Qualifications Strong experience with Python or Go backend development Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 authentication flows Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs Strong knowledge of API security and distributed systems Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks Understanding of encryption, secrets management, and secure storage Strong system design and debugging skills How to Apply Ready to shape the future of AI?
