About the Corporate Development Team The Corporate Development team is at the forefront of Salesforce's growth, responsible for sourcing and executing strategic acquisitions and investments.
Within this high‑performing group, the M&A Deal Team structures, negotiates, performs due diligence for, and executes strategic transactions. Salesforce is one of the most active acquirers in enterprise software with 15+ closed acquisitions over the past 2 years and 100+ closed acquisitions since 2006. This opportunity provides tremendous exposure and the ability to contribute materially to Salesforce's long‑term trajectory.
The Role The Senior Manager of Corporate Development Operations will be a crucial part of the M&A Deal Team at Salesforce. This position will be responsible for leveraging AI to streamline operations, automation, and analytics and will work closely with counterparts in M&A Integration and Salesforce Ventures to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Success requires a candidate to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, an innovative mind, an ability to create and present thoughtful analysis, and a focus on process optimization and operational support.
The ideal candidate thrives in delivering solutions to complex problems, has an affinity for data analysis and critical thinking in support of driving business decisions, and is comfortable working with executives and stakeholders of all levels. In this role, you will be highly collaborative and work cross‑functionally across Corporate Development, Finance, GTM, Business Technology, etc. to automate and streamline processes, measure, analyze, and visualize data around the M&A pipeline and prospective acquisitions, and support the creation of materials for Salesforce's Board of Directors. The position will be based in San Francisco and work out of the beautiful Salesforce Tower 3 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities Own standardized reporting, pipeline metrics, readouts. Lead analysis on the portfolio of M&A deals in a given year, pipeline, and inbounds that are not pursued for acquisition or investment. Leverage Salesforce AI products and other AI tools including Claude, Gemini and other apps to streamline processes and create efficiency.
Support market, industry and company research and analyses. Own the reporting and analysis for the Salesforce Investments portfolio, including monitoring portfolio performance, valuation, realized and unrealized gains on portfolio holdings. Serve as the primary coordinator for preparing materials on the M&A program for the Board of Directors, Salesforce's executive leadership team, and Corporate Development leadership.
Own the development of the Salesforce M&A org's enterprise tools, including feature development, managing reporting of inbound and outbound conversations, and maintaining records. As required, support the M&A Deal team on acquisition strategy and proactive ideation or execution on Deals. Professional Experience / Skills Required Background 6-8 years of total experience and a strong educational pedigree.
Previous experience in management consulting, data science, strategic finance, or M&A. Experience working in the M&A and the technology sector preferred. Technical Skills M&A experience – understanding of financial and valuation metrics; ability to identify and track business and operational key performance indicators.
Acumen to analyze the data and be the expert to identify inconsistencies and present findings. Extremely adept at integrating disparate information, correlating data, and understanding data trends into research papers or briefings with guidance. Experience using AI tools for process improvement, within M&A a plus.
Experience with data quality assessment and implementing solutions to improve the data quality. Experience working with Salesforce, business visualization tools eg. Tableau plus.

We believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $150,100 - $227,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $180,200 - $247,900 annually.
