Job Description
POSITION DETAILS The Sr. Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support the site's business goals and objectives. Principal Activities Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform highly diversified tasks to install and maintain the facility's equipment and machinery. These duties include but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Perform both emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
Equipment includes a wide variety of manual and CNC machinery. Work with outside vendors/suppliers in the installation, repair, and adjustment of machinery. Schedule and manage contractors (ensure contractors follow all safety rules) Record parts and materials used, and requisition parts and materials as necessary.
Communicate among work team by documenting actions, sharing information, and building a knowledge database of equipment and processes. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities Able to work both independently and in teams on the repair and maintenance of equipment Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude with working knowledge of bearings, ball screws, and machine alignments. Able to schedule and manage contractors. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. multi-meter, laptop) Operate machinery and powered equipment such as lift trucks, hoists, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on equipment according to safety and quality procedures Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, electronic, and programming problems with equipment and controls. Maintains inventory of spare parts Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvement May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an ROI to support the change.
Ability to work off-shift hours and weekends overtime is required.
