Job Description
Context
As part of an international IT development project for one of our major global clients, we are currently building a new IT team in Portugal and are looking for several Splunk Administrators to join this new structure.
This is an opportunity to join a team from its early stages and contribute to the administration, operation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Splunk platforms within a large-scale international IT environment.
The positions are based in Portugal and require regular on-site presence.
Your Role
As a Splunk Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, performance and operational reliability of the Splunk platform.
You will work across Splunk administration, configuration, monitoring, data and log management, troubleshooting and platform maintenance while collaborating with technical teams operating in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain and monitor Splunk environments.
- Ensure platform availability, stability and performance.
- Configure and manage the different Splunk components.
- Manage data and log collection, ingestion and indexing.
- Monitor data flows and identify potential anomalies.
- Troubleshoot Splunk-related issues and participate in incident resolution.
- Manage users, roles, permissions and platform access.
- Perform platform maintenance, upgrades and configuration changes.
- Create and maintain SPL searches, alerts, dashboards and reports.
- Support monitoring and observability activities.
- Document technical configurations and operational procedures.
- Work closely with infrastructure, operations and other technical teams in an international environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Splunk platform.
Your Profile
- You have approximately 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Splunk administration.
- You have hands-on experience working with Splunk / Splunk Enterprise.
- You understand Splunk architecture and its main components.
- You have experience with log collection, ingestion, indexing and analysis.
- You are comfortable working with monitoring and IT operations environments.
- Knowledge of Linux / Unix environments is highly appreciated.
- Experience with scripting and automation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SIEM and security environments is also appreciated.
- You have strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.
- You are autonomous, structured and comfortable working in an international technical environment.
- You enjoy collaborating with other IT and infrastructure teams.
Splunk Certifications
Splunk certifications are considered a strong advantage, particularly certifications related to platform administration.
Relevant certifications may include:
- Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
- Splunk Core Certified Power User
- Other Splunk administration or platform-related certifications

Position Details
- Location: Portugal
- Start date: January 2027
- Contract: Permanent contract
- Remote work: 1 day per week
Candidates should therefore already be based in Portugal or be able to work regularly from Portugal from the start of the position.
