Spanish Teacher

At St. Nicholas School, we are seeking a Full Time Spanish Teacher for our Pinheiros Campus. This position offers the opportunity to teach Spanish in a dynamic, international environment, encouraging students to develop language skills, cultural awareness, and a passion for communication.

We are looking for a dedicated, passionate individual to inspire and guide our students in their Spanish language journey.

Main Responsibilities within the Role:

• Teach Spanish classes to students of various age groups, promoting language acquisition, cultural understanding, and communication skills.
• Design and implement engaging and inclusive Spanish language programmes that cater to students' abilities and interests.
• Assess student progress in Spanish and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth.
• Foster an environment of respect and engagement in the classroom, encouraging students to speak and write confidently in Spanish.
• Assist in organising and supporting extracurricular activities and cultural events related to the Spanish language and culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Spanish language learning into the broader curriculum and school activities.
• Regularly evaluate and adjust teaching methods to ensure high-quality, engaging lessons.
• Stay up to date with current trends in language teaching and educational technology to ensure effective teaching practices.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• A teaching degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching Spanish, preferably in an international or bilingual school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish language teaching methodologies and student development principles.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent or advanced English language skills.
• Certification in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
• Knowledge of the IB curriculum is a distinct advantage.
