Quality Branded is Hiring a Sous Chef to Join the LIMUSINA Chef Team! 

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. We are searching for a leader who thrives in a high-volume environment, takes pride in developing teams, and is committed to delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.

About the Role:

The Sous Chef has an in-depth familiarity with the kitchen’s operations and is able to fill in for the Chef when needed and assist in resolving any problems that may arise on the job. This individual must possess the ability to quickly and authoritatively delegate tasks to a large staff. They must also be able to draw upon their considerable experience as a cook who has worked in many different roles and settings to effectively coach and mentor cooks, and at times, fill in for them.

What You'll Do:

• Model for team a high standard of company policy and protocol compliance.
• Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and timeliness.
• Staff management which includes recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, scheduling, payroll, performance evaluation and disciplining of employees.
• Work alongside Executive Chef on menu development.
• Resolve any problems that arise in the kitchen and seize control of a situation at a moment’s notice.
• Manage execution of full menu.
• Expedite during service.
• Inventory, purchasing and receiving of products for department.
• Maintain strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen in adhere to all state health department guidelines.
• Observe all the food-safety requirements established by your state department of health.
• Follow Center for Disease Control (CDC) sanitation guidelines.
• Work to build apprenticeship and employee development programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including at least 1 year in a kitchen management role within a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail
• Current NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certificate
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism
• 100% - Walks and stands during entire service
• Must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry and stoop.
• Must be able to move, carry and lift 50 pounds with frequency throughout shift.
• Must have excellent knife skills, ability to cook in all stations.

Preferred

• Experience leading kitchen teams
• Fine dining or luxury hospitality experience
• Strong understanding of food cost control and kitchen operations
