Job Description
Junior Sonata SME The Sonata SME supports the Sonata platform by assisting with analysis, documentation, and configuration tasks. This role is designed for someone building expertise in Sonata, working closely with senior team members, and learning to communicate changes and impacts effectively. Key Responsibilities Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for enhancements to the Sonata Platform, under the supervision of senior team members.
Support cross‑functional teams—including Business Analysts, Product Owners, Development and Run teams—by helping to communicate changes and gather feedback. Help the QA team with basic testing activities related to modifications on the Sonata Platform. Work with stakeholders such as Finance and Change teams to understand the downstream impacts of proposed changes.
Assist in configuring jobs, batches, and new products within the platform, as well as writing scripts, following established procedures. Support communication with Bravura and other partners, helping to document and track changes and estimates. Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting opportunities for enhancement.
Engage with the SME community including the Senior Sonata SME to learn, share knowledge, and support team development. Follow documented processes, standards and best practices. Participate in technical communities and forums.
Technical Competencies Foundational knowledge of Sonata platform features and functions. Willingness to learn about Sonata batch processes, workflows, scripting and Business Services (SBS). Basic understanding of how Sonata integrates with other systems.
Awareness of data flow from Sonata to other systems and processes. Other Competencies Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain requirements clearly. Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and with stakeholders across business and technology.
