Software Engineer

We're working with a leading financial technology organisation that is expanding its engineering team and is looking for an experienced Software Developer with strong .NET and Artificial Intelligence expertise.

This is an opportunity to help build and enhance mission-critical trading and financial systems while driving the adoption of AI technologies across enterprise applications.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing new features for large-scale, high-performance applications
• Translating business requirements into scalable software solutions
• Building, fine-tuning and deploying AI and machine learning models for production use
• Developing prompt engineering strategies and LLM-powered applications
• Creating proof-of-concepts using tools such as Jupyter Notebooks and analysing complex datasets
• Implementing AI governance, security, traceability and best practices
• Designing cloud-native solutions and integrating AI capabilities into .NET applications
• Collaborating with engineers, architects and product teams through code reviews and technical discussions

What we're looking for

• 5+ years' commercial experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core
• Strong experience designing scalable backend systems
• 2+ years working with Machine Learning, Generative AI or Data Science
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and frameworks such as Hugging Face or Transformers
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred, Azure also considered)
• Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD experience
• Good understanding of API security, AI governance and data privacy
• Experience working within Agile environments

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker or Azure AI services
• MLOps experience
• AI or cloud certifications
• Experience deploying production-grade AI solutions
