Job Description
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for executing project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications, and validate various interconnected, advanced aerospace systems spanning communications management functions (CMF), Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms. You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. No relocation offered.
You will be expected to apply for a broad range of software engineering skillsets, coordinate across hardware and software teams, and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements. You will be an active contributor amongst an integrated product team supporting the development of current and future datalink systems while ensuring compliance within aerospace certification standards. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and integrate datalink systems across CMF, FMS, amongst other ATN technologies.
Translate system and software requirements into robust implementations. Integrate and validate unit and system level requirements through verification testing. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
Participate in peer reviews, design reviews and documentation activities for certification. Collaborate across various functional and global engineering and project engineering teams. Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10% Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
At least 2 years of Software Engineering experience. Proficient experience in C as well as higher level languages. Proven experience in datalink communications systems.
WE VALUE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical fields. Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software. Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
Ability to adapt dictated by project changes. Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks. Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
