Job Title: Software Developer - Senior

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Duration: 55 Business Days with possible extension

Pay Rate: CAD $95 per hour

Role Overview

This is a Senior Software Developer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications. You'll be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into secure, high-quality solutions, developing backend services and REST APIs, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.

The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, building Java-based applications integrated with Oracle or SQL databases, and leveraging modern architectures such as microservices while following security and development best practices for enterprise systems.

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer in the large-scale multi-client web applications
  • 10+ year of hands‑on working experience of Java development with Oracle or SQL database
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience of RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
  • Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
  • Solid Understanding of Agile methodologies

Role and responsibilities

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.

This includes:

  • Developing detailed programming specifications
  • writing and/or generating code of compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
  • Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.
