Job Title: Software Developer - Junior

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Client: Public Sector

Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr (CAD)

Must Have Skills:

• Experience translating technical specifications into working, tested applications.
• Strong experience in software development, programming, coding, testing, debugging, and application maintenance.
• Experience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using structured development methodologies.
• Experience with application design, deployment, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution.
• Experience with Informatica IDMC/CDGC, Azure Data Platform, SQL Server, SQL, ETL, and data integration.
• Experience with Data Marketplace, Metadata Management, Data Governance, and API/Metadata Automation.
• Experience with Power BI and data-driven application development.
• Experience with relational and/or hierarchical database technologies and information retrieval using query languages.
• Experience collaborating with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
• Experience supporting implementation, conversion, migration, and post-implementation activities.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Experience documenting applications, technical specifications, and development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes:
• developing detailed programming specifications
• writing and/or generating code
• compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests
• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations
