Site Manager – Mixed Commercial Projects

Your new company Hays has partnered with a well-established and highly respected commercial builder with a strong presence across South East Queensland. With a diverse portfolio spanning education, industrial, retail, medical and commercial developments, this contractor has built a reputation for delivering quality projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and fostering a positive team culture. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of upcoming work, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of commercial construction projects from commencement through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will oversee all on-site activities, drive programme outcomes, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations across a range of commercial projects


• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel


• Driving construction programmes to achieve key milestones


• Maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety


• Monitoring quality assurance and compliance requirements


• Managing site logistics, programming and inspections


• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors


• Leading site teams and promoting a positive project culture

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial construction projects


• Previous exposure to education, industrial, retail, medical or mixed-use developments


• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills


• Sound knowledge of construction methodology, safety and quality systems


• Ability to manage project programmes and drive site productivity


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (or ability to obtain)


• Current White Card
