Senior Site Engineer – Tier 1 Building ContractorPermanentLocation – EdinburghSalary: £££ Negotiable DOERef: A major Tier 1 Building contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering new build construction projects in the public, private, and regulated sectors.The successful Site Engineer will oversee the construction process, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include managing site operations, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.Acting as the main technical adviser on site for specialist subcontractors, including groundworks and concrete frame contractor.Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site; Detailed record keeping of QA inspections on a daily/weekly basis were required.Managing, monitoring, and interpreting the construction design drawings supplied by the structural engineer, architect & MEP engineers.Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring of the supporting engineering team along with the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.Preparing reports as required for senior site manager & project manager.Pro–active approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to senior site manager and project manager.Requirements:A Degree / HND in Civil Engineering.A current valid CSCS Card.A minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience.Excellent communication and planning skills.IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
