Status of post: Full time

Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off multi shift day / night

Salary: Highly competitive in line with experience. Overtime available.

Working in a modern manufacturing environment you will carry out efficient maintenance and repairs to maximise uptime, support continuous improvement projects, manage PPM schedules and troubleshoot using root-cause analysis. Daily inspections, machine optimisation and safe high quality work are central to the role.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responding to breakdowns within the manufacturing process, maximising production output and ensuring the smooth flow of the operation.
• Contributing to the upkeep of all relevant technical documentation.
• Participating in and positively contributing to site initiatives to include HACCP, ISO9002, CDM etc.
• Supporting completion of remedial actions from all engineering compliance audits.

You will have strong engineering ability along with initiative and attention to detail. Experience of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S, LEAN and TPM would be ideal.

You must:

• Be an Electrically biased Engineering Technician who is a fully qualified electrician with up to date 18th Edition certification, educated to NVQ Level 3 and/or time served apprenticeship.
• Have extensive experience working on pneumatics systems, pumps, motors and valves.
• Apply logical fault-finding techniques to efficiently diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns.
• Work with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and meet operational demands, while ensuring safety and product quality remain the top priorities.
• Adapt effectively to changing day-to-day priorities, responding to production demands to maximise operational output.
• Demonstrate strong computer literacy to accurately complete all administrative tasks and ensure compliance with operational requirements.

Experience within a FMCG/Manufacturing plant environment preferred.
