Service Manager

Why this role matters

Our Step‑Up Step‑Down (SUSD) service in Bunbury provides short‑term, recovery‑focused residential support for people experiencing mental health distress. Operating in partnership with Cyrenian House, the service provides a therapeutic alternative to hospital admission and supports people transitioning back into the community.

As Service Manager, you will provide leadership across service delivery, workforce development, stakeholder engagement, compliance, quality improvement, and operational management. You will guide a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the service continues to deliver high‑quality, recovery‑oriented and trauma‑informed support.

What you'll be doing

Service Leadership

• Lead the delivery of a high‑quality recovery‑focused residential service.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements, accreditation standards and organisational policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
• Monitor service performance, quality outcomes and key performance indicators.
• Oversee site operations, resident experience and service quality.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with Cyrenian House and other community stakeholders.
• Represent Richmind WA in local networks and partnership forums.
• Strengthen referral pathways and community connections across the South‑West region.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Support workforce wellbeing, supervision, learning and development.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance and employee relations matters.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture.

Operational and Financial Management

• Manage budgets, resources and service reporting.
• Monitor risks, opportunities and service performance.
• Ensure the service operates safely, effectively and within agreed funding parameters.

What you'll bring

Essential

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Human Services, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams within a complex service delivery environment.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and collaborative partnerships.
• Strong communication, leadership and people management capability.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets and operational performance.
• A values‑based leadership approach and commitment to recovery‑oriented practice.
