Job Description
Must Have Strong hands-on expertise with SIP protocols, signaling, and media troubleshooting Solid Linux proficiency, including CLI-based system support and diagnostics Experience with VoIP platforms such as PBX systems, SIP trunking, or service provider voice environments Systems-level problem-solving skills across multiple components and technologies Basic scripting experience to support automation and operational efficiency Nice to Have SBC's: Ribbon, Audiocodes. (e.g., Oracle/Acme Packet or comparable platforms) BroadWorks or similar carrier-grade voice platforms Additional information The key items that they're needing is someone that can take a set of business requirements and build out a SIP based voice solution. They would like this person to have experience working within a Linux environment, understanding of SBC's (Oracle SBC's are what they use but open to any), some automation experience would be great, and exposure to API's like SOAP or REST would be great. Another bonus would be experience with Broadworks or Broadsoft.
This manager also called out that people who have been heavily focused on working with Cisco technologies typically don't do well, So we do not need a UCCX type of person.
