Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Survey Manager to lead field crews and office teams on civil and transportation projects.
This senior-level role combines project delivery, client development, and staff leadership. Key Responsibilities: Supervise multiple field crews and office technicians on daily survey operations. Manage project budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and client expectations.
Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities on roadway and utility corridor surveys. Support regional business growth through proposals and client relationship development. Mentor and coach staff through performance reviews and one-on-one sessions.
Required Qualifications: Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license. 12+ years of surveying experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role. Extensive DOT and municipal project experience. Proficient in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads , AutoCAD Civil 3D , and CAD-based survey workflows.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's in surveying or civil tech preferred. Preferred Skills: Subsurface utility locating/designating experience.
LiDAR, aerial mapping, or sUAS operations. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. Benefits: Competitive salary with $5,000–$10,000 sign-on bonus .
