We are looking for an experienced Senior UI Developer to take a leading role in the continued growth and success of Learning. The Learning product is one of the fastest growing within Workday. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing team to become the key leader in growing our Front End Development Capabilities and improving the Customer Experience for our millions of users.

About the Role

In this role you will become the Senior UI Developer with responsibility for the architectural and functional advancement of Workday Learning.

You will provide technical oversight of UI Development across all of the Learning delivery teams. These teams consist of Application Development Full Stack and dedicated UI developers or a combination of those. Leveraging your leadership expertise you will influence the delivery approaches taken and ensure we create exceptional experiences using the very latest industry technologies and best practices.

Provide direction to UI architectural design decisionsLead the coding of your software designs delegating as necessary to increase your personal and team capacityDevelop comprehensively assessed achievable release objectives with your teamGrow the capability & capacity of our dedicated UI Engineers and cross-skilled Application Developers through coaching & supportCollaborate and partner with other functions - Product Management User Experience Application Development Quality Assurance Docs Customer SupportImplement best practice activities for your team to assure the long term maintainability extensibility and performance of the UI codebaseDrive innovation in all forms - products features and organisational processes

About You

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Engineer with strong development skills. You enjoy challenging yourself professionally to realise your potential. Under your guidance our multidisciplinary teams will design and develop an innovative consumer grade UI experience for Workday Learning.

You will become a key member of the Product team expected to use your knowledge and experience to directly influence product strategy & implementation.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or related course 7+ years experience developing Enterprise software products. Significant Front-End development experience creating RESTful Web applications developed within the React ecosystem Demonstrable track record in technical leadership - people product & process.

Other Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build strong trust based cross-functional stakeholder working relationships Experience with Jenkins and Nx build infrastructure Experience with WCAG and accessible UI development
