About You

You will have:

• Strong commercial experience with modern, object-oriented PHP
• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel, including MVC, Eloquent, queues, middleware and APIs
• Excellent MySQL skills, including schema design, indexing and query optimisation
• Experience developing and supporting high-traffic, transactional web applications
• Development experience, with a strong focus on performance and reliability
• Good understanding of Git/version control, debugging and testing
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and development best practices
• Experience working in fast-paced development environments

What You'll Do

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel
• Develop and enhance core platform functionality and customer-facing features
• Optimise database performance and efficiently manage large datasets
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Investigate and resolve production issues while improving platform resilience
• Continuously improve application performance, scalability and reliability
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services
• Develop and maintain APIs and transactional functionality
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions across the platform
