Job Description
The Role The Senior Software Developer is a hands‑on role that contributes to translating product requirements into production-ready software and supports design, development, testing, and debugging complex, first-in‑class software. The contributor applies existing technical and domain knowledge and helps implement new technologies and processes for sustaining business solutions and development practices. They are a voice in application of principles, concepts, tools, documentation, and testing procedures to complete projects.
They will be a key member of the Lumen Digital organization and is a self‑starter with a can‑do attitude, must be agile within a fast‑moving business and technical environment. Location This is a work‑from‑home position within the US. The Main Responsibilities Resolving issues in a complex and multi‑tiered integration architecture between UIs, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, subsystems, and databases in non‑production and production environments.
Effectively communicating with peers, product owners, and management to resolve issues as needed and status of assignments using collaboration and productivity tools such as JIRA, Confluence. Deep understanding of technical areas, including business processes implemented in the team’s applications and delivery of solutions in accordance with architectural direction. Engagement in all aspects of the development life cycle including design, coding, reviews, testing, deployment, and support.
Application of principles, concepts, and methodologies, tools, processes, and protocols to successfully deliver projects. Contributing to design and architecture solutions for integration workflows and order‑management systems. Working with various teams to deliver business‑impacting projects.
Analyzing metrics to maximize performance, availability, and capacity. What We Look For in a Candidate Full‑stack engineering experience with a variety of technologies to implement software solutions including but not limited to developing robust, secure, responsive front‑ends utilizing frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Vue.js is beneficial as well as Effector and Mirage JS, CSS, preprocessors, libraries, and translating UX design specifications; resilient, secure, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, micro‑service architectures using Java (Spring Boot) and Go (Gin, Beego, Echo, Kit, Fiber) designed and documented with OpenAPI and SwaggerHub.
Enterprise‑scale data persistence using SQL and NoSQL with the ability to write and understand secure, complex queries for both relational and non‑relational data models, aggregation, caches, and indexes. Automated testing suites using Playwright, Vitest, and/or Jest. Experience with code versioning using Git and GitHub.
SCRUM and SCRUM at Scale. Preferred 4 years professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent education and a demonstrable history of development roles with expanding responsibilities and successful deliveries. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
