What you'll do

  • Lead the design and implementation of software applications, ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception through deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions that can be integrated into our software development processes.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to develop and execute test plans, ensuring the software is thoroughly tested before deployment.
  • Document software designs, processes, and procedures to maintain clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Engage in Agile development practices, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and productivity.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on web applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with experience in relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring, Django, React).
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in software development and experience implementing secure coding techniques.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a software development team.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio demonstrating your software development capabilities.
