Job Description

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Scrum Master for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry.

The perfect candidate will have a strong understanding of the product requirements and product management processes and standards, as well as a knack for driving teams and solutions forward. The team values camaraderie, collaboration, and a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years in Agile environments, with at least 3 years as a Release Train Engineer or similar leadership role.
  • Background in large-scale program delivery, with experience leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) involving multiple teams.
  • Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or equivalent role, with deep knowledge of the SAFe framework and Agile principles. SAFe RTE certification is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Jira for managing Agile workflows, program increment (PI) planning, and team coordination.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) in Agile environments, including release management, quality assurance, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience delivering software solutions for oil & gas or other enterprise-level clients, with an ability to align technical work with business needs in complex industries.
  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts, to remove impediments and ensure consistent delivery across Agile teams.
  • Understanding of how to manage risks and dependencies across teams, while leveraging metrics (e.g., velocity, predictability) to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for streamlining releases.
  • Familiarity with related tools, such as Confluence or other collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and coach the project-focused SCRUM team(s).
  • Help to drive projects forward and organize project teams leveraging Agile methodologies.
  • Maintain a mindset of self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints.
  • Support the management of each project's scope and timelines.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups, demos, and refinement.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Encourage communication with other teams as needed.
  • Partner closely with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
  • Help drive conflict resolution and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Assist teams in implementing changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Guide the teams to higher Scrum maturity.
  • Support building a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on it.
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers, fostering a productive, harmonious team environment.
  • Take ownership of the team's delivery commitments and progress reporting.

  • Report to Senior Manager, Software Engineering.
