Role: Senior Scrum Master

Position Summary:

The Scrum Master / Project Manager serves as a hybrid delivery leader responsible for enabling agile team execution while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. This role blends servant-leadership and agile coachingwith enterprise-level project management, supporting one or more delivery squads operating within a complex, fast-paced technology environment.

The role facilitates agile ceremonies, removes delivery impediments, and promotes continuous improvement, while also owning delivery coordination, risk management, stakeholder communication, and project reporting. The Scrum Master / Project Manager acts as a central point of accountability for execution, transparency, and alignment across technology, business, and vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
• Serve as a servant leader and coach, reinforcing Agile values, principles, and best practices across one or more teams.
• Promote team focus, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through effective facilitation and coaching.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog, facilitate refinement sessions, and ensure clarity of scope and priorities.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate technology project activities to ensure delivery aligns with business objectives, timelines, and budget expectations.
• Identify required resources, manage dependencies, and escalate gaps or risks as needed.
• Act as an escalation point for delivery issues, proactively removing impediments and resolving cross-team blockers.
• Manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies across the delivery lifecycle.
• Maintain Agile and project dashboards to track sprint progress, velocity, burndown, milestones, and commitments.
• Establish and enforce standards for sprint, feature, and project reporting and documentation.
• Provide clear, timely status reporting to stakeholders and leadership, including delivery health, risks, and dependencies.
• Monitor delivery progress to ensure work remains on schedule and aligned with agreed-upon commitments.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and trust.
• Support coordination across distributed or remote teams and outsourced delivery partners.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and data-driven analysis of team performance and delivery metrics.
• Contribute inputs to value stream roadmaps and support validation of business cases when applicable.
• Support agile maturity and adoption across the organization by collaborating with other Scrum Masters and project leaders.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, including Agile project management and/or Scrum Master roles.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream initiatives in fast-paced environments.
• Strong experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, including the ability to present to large audiences and senior leaders.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification.

Education:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering
