Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager to join our Gastroenterology Equipment division. The role involves driving business development, customer engagement, market expansion, and sales growth across hospitals, gastroenterology clinics, diagnostic centres, medical colleges, corporate healthcare groups, and healthcare institutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a portfolio of premium gastroenterology capital equipment and diagnostic technologies through a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach. This position requires the ability to manage complex sales cycles, develop strong relationships with gastroenterologists and hospital decision-makers, conduct product demonstrations, and support customers from initial engagement through successful installation and post-sales support.
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across hospitals, gastroenterology departments, liver clinics, endoscopy centres, diagnostic centres, corporate hospitals, and medical colleges.
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive customer engagement, territory development, and strategic account management.
- Promote premium gastroenterology diagnostic equipment and healthcare technology solutions through consultative and value-based selling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, GI surgeons, physicians, hospital management, biomedical engineering departments, purchase and procurement teams, and healthcare decision-makers.
- Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, clinical discussions, live demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on evaluations.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal application, service, and technical teams.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, installations, customer training, and application support with internal teams and OEM partners.
- Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract finalization while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, sales forecasts, customer visit reports, and business updates.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, product developments, and emerging opportunities within the gastroenterology and hepatology segment.
- Represent the company at gastroenterology conferences, CMEs, workshops, exhibitions, and scientific meetings.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, territory objectives, and long-term business development goals.
- Follow company sales processes, reporting structures, compliance requirements, and business development strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3โ8 years of experience in medical device sales, capital equipment sales, healthcare technology, gastroenterology equipment, diagnostic equipment, imaging equipment, or related healthcare industries.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
- Existing professional relationships with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, physicians, biomedical engineers, hospital management, purchase teams, and healthcare decision-makers will be highly preferred.
- Experience selling premium, high-value capital equipment through consultative sales processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to independently manage long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings, demonstrations, installations, conferences, and business development activities.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes and capital equipment purchasing cycles.
- Experience selling gastroenterology diagnostic equipment such as endoscopy systems, ultrasound, diagnostic imaging, or other capital medical equipment will be an advantage.
- Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to effectively communicate product features and clinical benefits to healthcare professionals.
- CRM management, sales forecasting, opportunity tracking, and pipeline management.
- Strong business development, networking, and strategic account management capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM software.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to independently develop and grow a sales territory.ย
