Job Description
Senior Project Engineer Position Title & Basic Details We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer based in Toronto, Canada. This is an 18-month contract position requiring 10+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
Overview In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing large-scale capital projects from concept through commissioning in a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in project management and thrives in a collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities Lead project scoping, design, and execution for capital initiatives.
Oversee installation of new processing and/or packaging equipment. Coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Manage RFP processes, including bid evaluation and vendor selection.
Support installation, commissioning, and startup activities. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in managing engineering projects; familiarity with capital equipment and plant-based projects is a plus. Experience: Minimum 10 years working on capital projects within manufacturing, preferably in Food & Beverage or similar environments. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with infrastructure or utility upgrades. Familiarity with packaging systems (fillers, palletizers, etc.) is a plus. Why Join Us?
