Senior Payroll Analyst (Alameda)

We are partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join their team. This role will play a key part in managing payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Process and review multi-state payroll for a mid-to-large employee population Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution, including earnings, deductions, and taxes Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Reconcile payroll data, general ledger accounts, and related reports Partner with HR and Finance on employee changes, benefits, and reporting needs Support payroll audits and year-end processes (W-2s, filings, etc.) Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Assist with payroll system enhancements and troubleshooting Qualifications: 4–7+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance and reporting Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar Proficient in Excel and data analysis High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to operate independently in a deadline-driven environment Why consider this opportunity: Stable and growing organization High visibility role with cross-functional exposure Opportunity to improve processes and make an impact Collaborative and supportive team environment
