Senior Network Operations Engineer Global Network Services
Position Summary:
As a Senior Network Operations Engineer within ADMs Global Technology organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational stability, performance, and continuous improvement of ADMs global network infrastructure. This position focuses on operational excellence, ITSM process maturity, and effective management of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) responsible for day-to-day network support. You will help drive service reliability, proactive monitoring, and incident response, while ensuring network operations align with ADMs ITIL-based
service management framework and Global Technology (GT) standards. This role requires a balance of strong technical knowledge, process discipline, and supplier management expertise. You will partner closely with ADMs network engineering, architecture, and service management teams to maintain operational health, ensure SLA adherence, and drive continuous improvement
through data-driven insights and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Service Reliability:
- Ensure the ongoing performance, availability, and resiliency of ADMs enterprise network, including LAN , WAN/SD-WAN, data center fabrics, firewalls, and wireless environments.
- Oversee day-to-day network operations delivered through Managed Service Providers, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs, OLAs, and operational KPIs.
- Lead operational governance reviews and performance assessments with MSPs to identify gaps, drive accountability, and promote service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure global network products and services maintain 24x7 service availability through effective monitoring, incident response, and escalation management.
ITSM Process Maturity & Governance:
- Advance the maturity of ITSM processes within Network Operations, focusing on Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Ensure compliance with ADMs ITIL-based processes and Global Technology governance standards (D2C & R2F).
- Partner with Service Management L3 owners to enhance service reporting, trend analysis, and RCA quality.
- Implement process improvements that reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to restore (MTTR), while improving service predictability.
Managed Service Provider (MSP) Oversight:
- Act as ADMs operational interface for global network MSPs, ensuring technical and procedural alignment across incident, change, and service request workflows.
- Manage service reviews, performance metrics, and operational escalations to ensure vendors meet contractual obligations.
- Validate operational readiness for new solutions and ensure seamless handoff from project delivery into steady-state support.
- Maintain governance documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and escalation matrices.
Continuous Improvement & Automation:
- Drive operational automation and analytics initiatives to streamline network monitoring, event correlation, and fault isolation.
- Develop dashboards and key health indicators to proactively identify risks and prevent outages.
- Partner with engineering to integrate monitoring and telemetry into design standards, ensuring new deployments are operationally ready from day one.
- Lead post-incident reviews to ensure lessons learned are embedded into operations and future designs.
Incident Leadership & Major Incident Management:
- Serve as a senior technical resource during high-priority outages impacting global connectivity.
- Lead cross-functional war rooms and coordinate with MSPs and internal teams for rapid resolution.
- Conduct deep-dive problem investigations to identify root causes, corrective actions, and long-term preventive measures.
- Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through strong post-incident review discipline.
Operational Readiness & Lifecycle Management:
- Ensure ADMs network devices, configurations, and software versions are current, supported, and aligned to lifecycle standards.
- Ensure ADM's LAN and Wireless LAN environment operates at an optimal level of performance, availability, and reliability. Provide technical leadership and coaching to third-party support vendors in the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex wireless networking issues, acting as the L3/L4 escalation point for advanced troubleshooting and problem management
- Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance activities in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.
- Maintain configuration and asset data accuracy in ADMs CMDB and related tooling (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, ServiceNow). Drive proactive obsolescence management and risk mitigation for network infrastructure.
Qualifications & Preferred Certifications:
- 810 years of enterprise network operations experience managing large, distributed networks.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4 practices and service management processes.
- Proven experience managing or governing MSP-delivered network operations and performance SLAs.
- Solid technical foundation across routing, switching, wireless, and network monitoring platforms.
- Effective communicator, written & verbal capable of interacting with executives, peers, and suppliers. Understands how to relate to different level of an organization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights.
Desired Certifications:
- Operations & ITSM: ITIL v4 Managing Professional or equivalent.
- Networking: Cisco CCNP/CCIE Enterprise, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIP.
- Automation & Observability: Cisco DevNet Associate/Professional, Ansible, Python, or related scripting tools.
- Cloud & Security: AWS/Azure Networking Associate, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE.

Impact:
This position directly supports ADMs operational excellence objectives by ensuring a stable, secure, and predictable network foundation. You will drive measurable improvements in service reliability, incident response, and MSP performance, while strengthening ADMs ITSM maturity and alignment with Global Technology governance. In addition to operational responsibilities, you will provide technical leadership and project support for network infrastructure initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution architecture, development of High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), network segmentation and security designs, technology evaluations, Bill of Materials (BoM) creation, implementation planning, and transition of solutions into production.
Through disciplined operational leadership, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement, you will help ensure ADMs global connectivity remains resilient, efficient, scalable, and business-aligned.
Common Technologies Utilized at ADM
Strong hands-on experience supporting and operating large-scale production enterprise networks with a strong focus on network segmentation, security, and high availability; expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst 9000 Campus LAN, Cisco Nexus 9000 Data Center Fabric, Cisco WLC 9800, and Cisco ISE (must-have), including Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies such as VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, multicast, and QoS; advanced wireless networking expertise covering 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, RF design, site surveys, roaming optimization, WLAN security, guest access, IoT onboarding, and Anchor Controller deployments; with exposure to Cisco Catalyst 8000 SD-WAN, ASR/ISR Edge Routers, and vManage, and preferred experience with Cisco DNA Center, Nexus Dashboard, ThousandEyes, Stealthwatch, Citrix NetScaler, and SolarWinds Observability platforms.
