Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview D2 Architects is seeking a visionary and experienced Studio Director – Engineering (MEP) to lead and grow our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering studio. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, technical excellence, and operational performance of the MEP team, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and design disciplines. Responsibilities Lead the MEP studio with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Develop and implement studio goals aligned with firm-wide strategic objectives. Mentor and manage a team of engineers and designers, fostering professional growth. Oversee MEP design and documentation across multiple projects, ensuring quality, code compliance, and client satisfaction.

Collaborate with architectural and design teams to deliver integrated solutions. Review and approve engineering deliverables and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and interviews.

Cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities for new work and studio growth. Manage studio resources, staffing, and workload distribution. Establish and maintain design standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
