Job Description

Rogers Communications is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Income Tax to join our tax team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Income Tax, the successful candidate will be a key part of the tax team primarily responsible for the tax provision process, support tax audits and provide tax support to the business. What you'll do: Collaborate closely with the Senior Director, Income Tax and Tax Managers to lead the tax provision process under IFRS, including the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated tax provisions and related disclosures.

Prepare and review documentation required to complete tax provisions and filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission. Identify and implement improvements in tax processes and systems, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Lead tax audits, including preparation of supporting documentation, coordination of responses to information requests, and resolution of issues with taxation authorities.

Identify and mitigate risks related to tax compliance or disputes, maintaining robust processes and controls to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Partner with the tax team, legal and other business stakeholders to support mergers and acquisitions, integration activities and various tax planning initiatives. Assist in the preparation and review of tax filings, tax payments and instalment calculations.

Prepare annual and periodic cash tax budgets and forecasts, focused on optimizing and minimizing cash tax outlays. What you'll bring: CPA Designation with successful completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or Master of Taxation. 5 to 10 years of relevant tax accounting and compliance experience. Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax and IAS 12.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Tax Prep. Experience with Oracle an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve results. To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre‑employment background check will be conducted.
