Senior IT Business Systems Analyst (Cybersecurity / Risk Focus) Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Contract: 12 Months W2 contract Client: Leading Energy & Utilities Organization Experience Level: 10+ Years(Negotiable for the right candidate) Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Business Systems Analyst to operate at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and business operations . This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating complex technical risks into actionable business insights and enabling teams to make informed, secure decisions. You will partner with cross-functional teams across IT, OT (Operational Technology), and business units to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical teams on cybersecurity and risk-related matters Translate technical vulnerabilities and security findings into clear, business-relevant insights Support decision-making by outlining risk, tradeoffs, and remediation strategies Conduct and support security reviews across OT environments and hybrid IT/OT systems Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand real-world system usage Assist in the secure integration of new assets, vendors, and acquisitions Help prioritize remediation efforts based on risk and operational impact Track remediation progress, timelines, and commitments Identify recurring risks and systemic issues across environments Contribute to risk assessments, exception reviews, and compliance documentation Gather and document security requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders Create executive-level summaries, reports, and risk narratives Develop and standardize processes, templates, and best practices Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in IT, business systems analysis, or cybersecurity-related roles Experience in one or more of the following areas: Operational Technology (OT) / Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration Cybersecurity, risk management, or vulnerability management Strong ability to analyze complex problems and communicate clearly Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently across multiple teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in hybrid IT/OT environments Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessments, and compliance standards Experience creating metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting Background in large-scale enterprise or regulated industries Work Environment On-site role based in Houston, TX Standard business hours (Monday–Friday) Collaborative, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment
