Senior Fund Accountant

We’re partnering with a respected investment services business seeking a SeniorFund Accountant— someone who rings strong technical depth across NAVs, financial reporting, and fund operations while driving high‑quality outcomes for clients.

This role suits an experienced Senior Fund Accountant or Fund Accountant ready to step into a position with genuine ownership, people leadership, and visibility across new fund setups, migrations, and ongoing service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

• Reviewing and overseeing daily, monthly, and quarterly NAVs and unit pricing
• Ensuring accuracy across reconciliations, fund accounting packs, and financial statements
• Overseeing tax components including BAS/GST, distributions, taxable income reviews, and ITR working papers
• Managing the onboarding of new clients and fund structures
• Overseeing new fund setup in Paxus and ensuring data integrity during migrations
• Coordinating with Custody, Unit Registry, Risk, and Relationship teams to ensure seamless operational delivery
• Managing issue registers, resolving escalated client queries, and maintaining service excellence
• Supporting audits, regulatory reporting, and ASIC lodgements
• Driving process improvements, workflow optimisation, and team capability uplift

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years’ experience in fund accounting, with exposure to managed funds, investment structures, and end‑to‑end fund operations
• Strong technical capability across NAVs, reconciliations, financial statements, and tax components
• Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical capability
• A proactive, detail‑driven approach with the confidence to lead a team and engage with senior stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects while maintaining accuracy under pressure
