Senior Financial Accountant
Allied Talent
Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established Irish real estate firm to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant to its Dublin finance team.
This is a broad, commercially focused role with budgeting, forecasting and project accounting at its core. You will take ownership of budgets and cashflow forecasts across a portfolio of live development projects, tracking performance against appraisal and reporting directly to senior leadership. This is a lean team, so you will sit close to the decision makers, with real visibility over how deals are underwritten, funded and delivered.
The Role:
- Support senior management with project budgets, reforecasting and variance analysis across active developments
- Project accounting from acquisition through to delivery, including development cost tracking and drawdown reporting
- Cashflow forecasting at project and group level
- Sourcing and interrogating cost information from architects, quantity surveyors, project managers and site teams, and turning it into reliable reporting
- Month-end reporting, supporting audit and judging what needs to be examined and disclosed
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 1-3 years' PQE ideally within industry
- Big 4 or Top 10 trained preferred
- Industry experience in property, construction, engineering or a similar project-driven environment is ideal, though strong practice candidates with relevant clients will also be considered
- Strong Excel skills and well organised, comfortable managing multiple projects at once
- A good communicator with the personality to build relationships across teams, consultants and senior management
This is an excellent step for someone who wants out of a large, layered finance function and into a role where their numbers directly inform investment decisions.
The role offers strong progression, with a natural step up to Finance Manager over time.
