Data Centre Operations Technician

12-Hour Rotating Shift

I'm recruiting on behalf of a major energy and infrastructure provider supporting one of Europe's largest data centre campuses in Grange Castle.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mission-critical environment at the centre of Ireland's booming data centre sector - working on high-capacity electrical infrastructure designed for 24/7 uptime.

The Role

You'll be part of the shift operations team responsible for maintaining continuous power availability across a large-scale campus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and operating electrical distribution systems
• Carrying out low-voltage switching
• Managing permits and safe isolations
• Responding to alarms and real-time system events
• Supporting maintenance of critical backup power systems

This is hands‑on operational control in a live, high-availability environment.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified electrician (Level 6 or equivalent)
• Experience in industrial, utilities, pharma, manufacturing, power generation or data centre environments
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and switching practices
• Ability to read single line diagrams and schematics
