You have an opportunity to personally thrive, make a difference and be part of a culture where individuality is noticed and valued every day. We are seeking an experienced Senior EDIFECS Developer to serve as a lead COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) team member supporting a Medicaid state program within a healthcare EDI environment.

This role requires deep expertise in EDIFECS and related downstream technologies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to technical configuration, system enhancements, platform ownership, and production support while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead EDIFECS configuration and development activities within a Medicaid healthcare EDI platform. • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications. • Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and system definitions. • Apply recurring ECL releases (quarterly and annual) across multi-environment platforms. • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on development initiatives, including version upgrades. • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design aligned with CMMI Level 3 practices. • Develop technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements. • Maintain, support, and document system functionality and configurations. • Analyze system configurations and end-to-end transaction mappings to identify and resolve issues. • Maintain configuration management and version control within Azure DevOps. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Professional Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). • 7 years of total work experience. • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing platform ownership responsibilities. • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders. • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions. Role Impact • Own and maintain the ETL platform for a designated Medicaid state. • Serve as a backup resource for other states with similar technology stacks. • Contribute to service quality, system reliability, and operational excellence.
