Senior Developer

Senior .NET Developer – Contract (Inside IR35) Location: Remote / Hybrid but must be easily able to commute to Cardiff area as required. We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions within a financial services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a contractor who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working across modern Microsoft technology stacks.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing scalable applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET technologies Contribute to solution design and technical architecture decisions Build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives Support integration with cloud and third-party platforms Required Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Experience with Azure cloud services Strong knowledge of SQL Server Front‑end experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or React desirable Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Experience within regulated financial services environments Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems GWV Talent Solutions Limited (trading as Gerrard White Consulting and Vermelo RPO) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary and contract workers.
