Senior Data Engineer Basic Details Experience: 4–7 Years Locations: Mumbai | Bangalore | Trivandrum Work Mode: Hybrid Only Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or Data Integration projects Expert in data warehousing concepts, strategies, and tools Strong SQL background with solid knowledge of relational databases — SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL Strong hands-on experience with GCP services — BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Composer (Airflow), Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and GCS Good-to-have knowledge of SSRS and SSIS Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud is a plus Experience with Informatica PowerExchange for Mainframe, Salesforce, and other modern data sources Experience in data integration using APIs, XML, and JSON In-depth understanding of DBMS, OLAP, ETL frameworks, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes Good understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum processes Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills Proficient in working with large volumes of business data with strong database design knowledge Good written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations Roles & Responsibilities Work with business users and stakeholders to understand and translate business processes into data requirements Design and implement Dimensional and Fact tables Identify and implement data transformation and cleansing requirements Develop highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance data processing pipelines (ETL) from various source systems to the Enterprise Data Warehouse Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models with metadata, data lineage, and technical definitions Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings using appropriate data load techniques Provide research, high-level design, and effort estimates for data transformation and integration projects Provide production support for ETL processes to ensure timely data availability for reporting Analyze and resolve technical issues; partner with the BI team to evaluate, design, and develop reports and dashboards Leverage data from ERP, CRM, and HRIS applications for modeling, extraction, and transformation into analytics-ready formats Define and document BI use cases , prototypes, and deployment of BI solutions Develop and support data governance processes; identify trends, patterns, outliers, and quality issues across reports and dashboards Train business end-users, IT analysts, and developers on BI tools and processes
