Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst at zooplus, you will drive data-informed decisions across the business by building scalable datamarts and translating data into actionable insights. You’ll work at the intersection of analytics engineering, BI, and applied data science to influence strategy and operations. Own end-to-end analytical problems, from data modeling to advanced analysis and storytelling for senior stakeholders.

• Design, develop and own analytical datamarts using SQL and Python with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Build and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards to track KPIs for executive and operational decision-making
• Apply advanced techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities across business domains
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches with measurable outcomes
• Partner with stakeholders to define success metrics, frame questions, and deliver actionable insights
• Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through storytelling and visualization
• Identify opportunities to improve dashboard performance, data models, and consolidate reporting landscape
• Maintain reporting schedules and data extracts ensuring data reliability and consistency
• Provide first-level support while enhancing self-service analytics capabilities
• Stay up to date with BI, analytics and data science best practices to raise team maturity

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Several years of experience as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Senior Analyst, or Analytics Engineer in a complex data environment
• Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling with emphasis on analytical quality and performance
• Advanced experience with Tableau Desktop; Power BI knowledge is a plus
• Python experience for data analysis, automation, or advanced analytics
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., AWS Athena, SAP BW, Oracle) or comparable technologies
• Solid understanding of KPI design, experimentation, trend analysis, and data validation
• Analytical and strategic thinking, balancing business context with technical depth
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, able to present to senior stakeholders
