Groundswell is a premier technology integrator that partners with federal agencies to deliver enterprise‑scale automation solutions. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring that automation initiatives are clearly defined, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities Elicit requirements through document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions.

Act as a liaison between product owners, technology teams, and support stakeholders to keep all parties informed throughout the requirements gathering and analysis process. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts to refine requirements and develop Process Design Documents (PDDs) that capture current‑state workflows, rules, decision points, and exception handling for UiPath development. Partner with UiPath developers to validate Solution Design Documents (SDDs) against PDDs, ensuring traceability from requirements to delivery.

Drive adoption of agentic automation by identifying opportunities for UiPath bots, combined with LLMs, to operate autonomously with governance, escalation, and remediation. Design and document LLM‑enabled user journeys (e.g., natural language intake, contextual grounding, AI copilots) that extend UiPath capabilities and improve user interaction. Provide detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable process components in multiple formats such as Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, System Software Specifications, and Use Cases.

Perform detailed requirements analysis, document processes, and conduct quality assurance/User Acceptance testing. Partner with the product owner, technical teams, and stakeholders to resolve requirements conflicts or ambiguities. Assist the project manager in maintaining an up‑to‑date product backlog that supports continuous flow.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years supporting UiPath implementation or RPA projects. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, deliverables, and controls.

Strong understanding of UiPath components – Studio, Orchestrator, Queues, attended/unattended bots. Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering sessions, analyzing business flows, and documenting user needs. Well‑rounded technology consulting experience, including client meetings, UAT facilitation, and training.

Experience with Jira. Ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience writing Process Design Documents (PDDs) and working with developers to validate Solution Design Documents (SDDs). Strong customer service, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Federal Secret security clearance.

Local to the Washington, DC metro area preferred. Preferred Experience UiPath Business Analyst Certification or UiPath Automation Business Analyst training. Experience with process mining tools (e.g., UiPath Process Mining, Task Mining).

Familiarity with API integrations, workflow tools, or digital transformation initiatives. Experience in enterprise‑level RPA programs with governance, scaling, and COE structures. General understanding of financial management aspects in a federal environment (internal control, risk management).

Location & Travel Candidates located in the DC‑Maryland‑Virginia (DMV) area will travel approximately 5% of the time. Non‑local candidates must be willing to travel up to 20% for key meetings, team events, or client engagements. Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
