Senior Business Analyst – Retail / Pharmacy Leicestershire (Hybrid / Onsite As Required) Fixed Term Employment We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Retail and/or Pharmacy domain expertise to join a high‑performing delivery team. This role is pivotal in shaping business outcomes, acting as the bridge between stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. The Role Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management of business and functional requirements across multiple initiatives.
Partner closely with Product Owners to define scope, vision, and success criteria. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions using techniques such as use cases, workflow modelling, storyboards, and scenarios. Translate business needs into well‑structured backlogs, user stories, and Confluence documentation.
Act as a subject‑matter expert and internal product owner, providing domain guidance to delivery teams. Analyse requirements for completeness, feasibility, consistency, and alignment to standards and business objectives. Define and maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle, managing change and ensuring transparency.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario definition and validation of outcomes. Prepare and maintain formal documentation such as BRDs, SRDs, UML diagrams, wireframes, and other artefacts as required. Support client demos and stakeholder walkthroughs, articulating solutions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team. What You Will Bring Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in complex, delivery‑driven environments. Proven experience within Retail and/or Pharmacy domains, with a strong understanding of store operations, supply chains, merchandising, or regulated environments.
Strong ability to exercise independent judgement, influence stakeholders, and challenge constructively. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured and detail‑oriented mindset. Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Experience working in Agile / Product‑led environments, with strong backlog and user‑story management capability. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Strong collaboration skills, thriving in team‑oriented, cross‑functional settings.
Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or related discipline. #J-18808-Ljbffr
