Note: Strong background and experience with Cloud backup tool. Primarily with Rubrik and Druva backup tool. Experience with cloud native backup tool of AWS / Azure / GCP ITL Change Management and have leadership skills for L3. If you have all these qualifications you are the right fit for this position.

Job Description Summary:

Experienced backup professional responsible for end-to-end management of enterprise backup operations, including maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and BAU support. The role involves leading backup projects and migrations, handling critical recovery scenarios, and managing change processes (RFCs) while coordinating with vendors for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on storage arrays, including firmware updates and health checks.
• Upgrade and maintain backup tools, applications, and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical backup issues to ensure business continuity.
• Lead execution of backup-related projects, initiatives, and migrations.
• Manage change management activities (raising, implementing, and closing RFCs).
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for support, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Create, maintain, and publish weekly/monthly reports on backup operations.
• Fulfill incident and service requests related to backup and recovery.
• Oversee and manage BAU (Business-as-Usual) backup operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup management.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of different backup tools and technologies.
• Proven experience with:
• EMC Avamar and Networker
• EMC Data Domain and Recovery Point
• Druva Cloud-based Backup for Endpoints and VMs
• Strong troubleshooting skills in handling critical backup and recovery scenarios.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.

Preferred Technical & Professional Skills:

• Expertise in Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, Recovery Point, and Druva suite.
• Ability to manage both on-prem and cloud backup environments.
• Experience in leading BAU operations and driving backup optimization strategies.
