Job Description

Build the future of payments with AI, Pix & Open Finance

Type: Full-Time

Language: English

Location: São Paulo (Hybrid)

Reports to: CEO

The Company

Nova is building a new generation payment network (i.E. reinventing Visa/Mastercard) using AI on top of Pix and Open Finance.

Its first product is a B2C digital wallet that functions as an infrastructure bridge between traditional credit cards and Pix, allowing consumers to use their existing credit card limits anywhere — even to pay Pix and Boletos in installments.

The company was founded by an elite team of fintech veterans and has had top-tier venture capital investors (Monashees, Canary, Canaan and Propel) since its inception. They recently raised a large Series A and are now assembling a small team of exceptional, experienced professionals to build, launch and grow its next generation of products.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to help define, build and scale Nova's next generation of products. This is a rare opportunity for a top-tier strategy consultant (or equivalent operator) to move from advising into building — owning a core product area end-to-end and being accountable for the outcomes, not the slides.

You will work closely with the founders, engineering, design and data to turn Nova's vision — reinventing the payment network on top of Pix and Open Finance — into products that ship and move the business. You'll be responsible for structuring ambiguous problems, defining strategy, prioritizing ruthlessly, driving execution and delivering measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Structure ambiguity into strategy: take open-ended, messy problems (a new market, a broken funnel, an untapped opportunity) and turn them into a clear thesis, roadmap and set of sequenced bets.
  • Own a core product area: end-to-end (e.G. the digital wallet, Pix & Boleto on credit, the installments engine, or new 0→1 bets), translating company vision into concrete product decisions.
  • Run product discovery: talk to users, dig into data, and map the competitive and regulatory landscape (Pix, Open Finance, card rails) to surface the opportunities worth pursuing.
  • Prioritize and make tradeoffs: with clear, defensible reasoning, saying no to good ideas to protect focus on the few that matter most.
  • Drive execution: alongside engineering and design: write crisp specs, break work down, unblock the team and ship fast without breaking trust or compliance.
  • Define and own the metrics: that matter — activation, retention, TPV, take rate, unit economics — and be accountable for the business outcomes, not just the launches.
  • Partner cross-functionally: with risk & fraud, operations, growth and finance to launch products that are safe, compliant and economically sound in a highly regulated payments environment.
  • Use AI daily: across the product workflow — research, data analysis, prototyping and specing — to move faster and with higher leverage.

The Qualifications

Required

  • +5 years of full-time experience in top-tier strategy consulting, product, or high-performing startups
  • Elite structured problem-solving and analytical horsepower: you break down ambiguous problems, reason from first principles and are fluent with data and numbers
  • A track record of driving projects or initiatives end-to-end and delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management — you can align founders, engineers and partners around a decision
  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in Engineering, Business and Economics or related fields
  • Daily usage of AI for work (research, data analysis, specing and/or prototyping, etc.)
  • Analytical & organized mind: structured thought, comfortable with numbers, detail oriented

Preferred

  • Prior experience transitioning from consulting into an operating, product or founder-facing role
  • Experience launching products or new business lines (0 → 1)
  • Exposure to fintech, payments or financial services
  • Graduated from top schools and/or with top grades
  • Participated and/or won in case competitions, received work-related awards
  • Active leader in the community, has published articles, given lectures, etc.
  • Other demonstrable proofs of ambition, intelligence and/or resilience

The Target Companies

Candidates with at least 2 years of full-time experience in the companies below will be prioritized:

  • Top-Tier Strategy Consulting (priority): McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company
  • Other Leading Consulting Firms: Kearney, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy& (PwC), L.E.K., Monitor Deloitte, Falconi, Integration Consulting

The Selection Process

Materials about Nova, including a pitch deck and pitch videos, will be made available through the process.

  • Screening Calls: 5min call with HR for alignment on requirements and qualifications
  • Introduction Interview: 30min call with Hiring Manager for a quick review of past experiences
  • Deep Dive Interview: 60min call with Hiring Manager to deep dive on past experiences and profile
  • Bar Raise Interview: 45min call with another Leader to validate assessment with a 2nd opinion
  • Cultural Fit Interview: 45min call with CEO to evaluate culture fit and answer questions about Nova

The Offer Package

  • Model: PJ
  • Compensation: R$30–40K
  • Stock Option: aggressive stock option grants
  • Other Benefits: premium health insurance, flexible hours, paid vacations and Wellhub

If you're excited about building the rails of the next generation payment network alongside a small team of high-caliber, highly motivated professionals, we'd love to hear from you.
