Senior Accountant

Role Description The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. This role will prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, and support tax filings. The Senior Accountant will monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to support leadership decision-making.

Additional responsibilities include improving internal controls, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial processes related to event projects and consultancy engagements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

Experience : 3 to 5 years

• Strong skills in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
• Experience with tax compliance, statutory filings, and coordination with external auditors.
• Comfort with accounting software and ERP systems, and strong MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reporting).
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role; experience in events, media, or consulting industries is an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality.
