Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, remote position responsible for managing and overseeing key accounting and financial operations. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, handling month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
The Senior Accountant will monitor budgets, perform variance analysis, support audits, and contribute to tax planning and reporting. Daily responsibilities also include improving internal controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial matters, and providing insights to support management decision-making. The individual will be expected to work independently, meet deadlines, and uphold high standards of accuracy and integrity in all financial records.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Candidates should possess skills in compliance and reporting, such as knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), tax regulations, and audit support.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in spreadsheets and financial modeling tools.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
