Senior Accountant

JMC is pleased to partner with Robert CPA, an independent accounting firm providing a full suite of accounting, tax, and advisory services. For more than 30 years, the firm has supported family-owned businesses, sole proprietors, partnerships, corporations, not-for-profit organizations, housing organizations, and individual clients throughout the Ottawa and Orléans region.

Due to continued growth, Robert CPA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare notice to reader engagements, review engagements, small audits, and other financial mandates
• Prepare corporate, personal, estate, and HST/GST tax returns
• Respond to client questions and provide clear, practical guidance
• Communicate and follow up with the CRA on behalf of clients
• Research and analyze income tax matters and technical issues

Education and Experience

• CPA designation or near completion (preferred, but not required)
• Minimum of three years of public accounting experience
• Bilingual in French and English (preferred, but not required)
• Proficiency with CaseWare, Microsoft Office, and Excel (required)
• Experience with DT Max (an asset)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines

A hybrid work model is available once the successful candidate is familiar with the firm's systems (following the probationary period). A private office is provided for in-office work.
