Senior Accountant

Position Overview The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities, contributing directly to the integrity of the organization’s financial data and processes. Essential Responsibilities Core Accounting Functions Prepare and reconcile account balances, bank statements, and general ledger accounts.

Maintain organized and accurate supporting documentation for all accounting records. Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and internal accounting policies. Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience . CPA certification is preferred but not required.

Skills Demonstrated experience applying GAAP in financial reporting and accounting operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Technical Tools Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Connectwise.
