Are you a passionate Secondary Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people and creating engaging learning experiences?

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Secondary Teacher - Spanish or Japanese to join our team in a permanent, full-time position, teaching students across Years 7 to 12.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and collaborative Secondary team while delivering high-quality teaching and learning, with a particular focus on Spanish or Japanese.

Your Role

  • Deliver engaging and effective learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Teach Spanish or Japanese across relevant Secondary year levels
  • Monitor student learning and provide targeted support, feedback and assessment
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate and supportive teaching and leadership team
  • Contribute to the broader life of the College
  • Participate in a spiritually vibrant culture aligned with the College's Christian mission and values

About You

You will bring a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting young people to learn, grow and achieve their potential.

You will have:

  • A practising Christian faith and the ability to actively support and promote the College's Christian ethos
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Spanish or Japanese within a Secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary assessment practices
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
  • A Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
