Are you a passionate Secondary Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people and creating engaging learning experiences?
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Secondary Teacher - Spanish or Japanese to join our team in a permanent, full-time position, teaching students across Years 7 to 12.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and collaborative Secondary team while delivering high-quality teaching and learning, with a particular focus on Spanish or Japanese.
Your Role
- Deliver engaging and effective learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum
- Teach Spanish or Japanese across relevant Secondary year levels
- Monitor student learning and provide targeted support, feedback and assessment
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with a passionate and supportive teaching and leadership team
- Contribute to the broader life of the College
- Participate in a spiritually vibrant culture aligned with the College's Christian mission and values
About You
You will bring a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting young people to learn, grow and achieve their potential.
You will have:
- A practising Christian faith and the ability to actively support and promote the College's Christian ethos
- Demonstrated ability to teach Spanish or Japanese within a Secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary assessment practices
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- A Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
