Seasonal Water Truck Driver/Labourer

GFL Environmental is looking for a Seasonal Water Truck Driver/Labourer to join our team in Mildred Lake just north of Fort McMurray, AB. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate various company vehicles on site and perform various general labour related duties for our sulfur deblocking and load out operation. This is a Seasonal position with a term ending in mid to late September with the possibility of working later in the season depending on the weather.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, etc.
• Clean up work areas
• Fuel vehicles and equipment
• Clean tracks on track type and related equipment
• Work in accordance with Company and federal, state/provincial and local safety policies & procedures
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Class 3Q driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired, but not required.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather conditions (depending upon season), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles
• Work in outdoor environment up to 100% of the time.
