The Role The Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 2) will play a key role in building and scaling business-critical web and mobile applications , while integrating AI-powered intelligence into core workflows. This role sits at the intersection of full-stack engineering and applied AI—ideal for someone who is technically strong, business-aware, and excited about using technology to transform real-world supply chains.

Key Responsibilities (The “How”) Full-Stack Ownership: Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack and cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter. Own features end-to-end from design to deployment. Backend & Systems Architecture: Architect secure, high-performance backend systems, APIs, and internal tools aligned with real business workflows.

Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability. AI-Driven Systems: Integrate AI-powered features such as intelligent search, recommendations, predictive analytics, automated data enrichment, and internal AI assistants using LLM APIs and AI workflows. Automation & Intelligence: Implement AI-assisted automation across procurement, operations, reporting, and support systems to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, analytics, and leadership teams to translate ambiguous business requirements into robust technical solutions. Engineering Excellence: Uphold best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, performance optimization, and security. Continuously improve system scalability and developer productivity.

Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help evolve the long-term technology roadmap. The Ideal Candidate (The “Who”) Experienced Engineer: 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development. Strong Technical Foundation: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, Flutter, and PostgreSQL, with solid backend and API design skills.

AI-Curious Builder: Experience (or strong interest) in integrating AI/ML APIs, LLM-based systems, or intelligent automation into production applications. Systems Thinker: Strong understanding of database design, performance optimization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Linux environments. Ownership Mindset: Comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for outcomes, and building systems meant to scale.
