SAP Developer – Full Time Location: Chicago, IL (3–4 days onsite per week) Employment Type: Full‑Time Work Authorization: US Citizens or Green Card holders only NO THIRD PARTIES Job Summary Whitehall Resources is supporting a leading U.S.-based, multi‑site organization in the search for a SAP UI5 / ABAP Developer to design, build, and maintain custom developments within a modern SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong developer who enjoys working in a clean, standardized S/4HANA landscape with limited customizations, strong integration requirements, and real business impact. The successful candidate will contribute across Fiori/UI5 development, core ABAP work, and integrations with both SAP and non‑SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP and Fiori/UI5 developments within SAP S/4HANA Create and maintain technical documentation for all developments Support and enhance integrations between SAP S/4HANA, SAC, Ariba, SuccessFactors, and non‑SAP systems Debug and support interfaces including: Web Services ALE / IDOC RFC Proxies Set up new interfaces and resolve issues in existing integrations Collaborate closely with functional teams and integration partners to deliver effective solutions Ensure developments follow SAP and industry best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Fiori/UI5 and ABAP Developer UI5 certification is a plus Strong expertise in: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS SAPUI5 and MVC frameworks Java / J2EE, JQuery, JSON, XML Demonstrated experience developing with: Fiori UI5 ABAP CPI SAP BTP toolset Working knowledge ofABAP onHANA, including: CDS Views (code push‑down concepts) AMDP Extend Views Authorization Views Experience with performance tuning of time‑ and resource‑intensive programs SAP Native HANA development experience is a plus Functional & Landscape Experience Functional knowledge of SD, MM, FI, CO, and PP modules preferred Experience working in a complex SAP landscape supporting core enterprise functions Exposure to multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and support engagements Core Competencies Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Excellent critical thinking abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment High level of integrity and commitment to protecting confidential information Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and detail‑oriented working style Additional Information Onsite requirement: 3–4 days per week in Chicago Estimated travel : Minimal Sponsorship: Not available (US Citizens or Green Card holders only)
