Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Scarlet’s customer base. This role involves managing key corporate and retail accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term relationships with clients. The Sales Manager will oversee the sales pipeline, prepare proposals and quotations, coordinate tastings or product presentations, and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
Daily tasks include collaborating with the production and operations teams to align offerings with client needs, tracking sales performance, and implementing promotional strategies. The role also includes mentoring sales staff, maintaining accurate sales reports, and representing Scarlet at events or meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and account management skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing.
- Experience in customer relationship management and client servicing, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or luxury goods.
- Ability to analyze sales data, prepare forecasts, and develop growth strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English; additional local languages are an advantage.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience managing corporate gifting or premium consumer products is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort with basic CRM tools, spreadsheets, and reporting software.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset.
